Withdrawal & Returns

For Buyers in Switzerland

Under applicable Swiss law, there is no statutory right of withdrawal for online purchases. A purchase contract is legally binding upon order confirmation.

As a goodwill gesture, we offer a voluntary return option within 14 days of receipt.

EU

For Buyers in the EU

Consumers residing in the European Union have a statutory right of withdrawal of 14 days from receipt of the goods, without giving reasons, in accordance with the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU).

Withdrawal period: The withdrawal period is 14 days from the day on which you or a third party designated by you took possession of the goods.

Exercise: To exercise your right of withdrawal, please inform us by means of a clear statement (e.g., by email to info@timedeals.ch) of your decision to withdraw from the contract. Timely dispatch of the withdrawal is sufficient to meet the deadline.

Consequences of withdrawal: In the event of an effective withdrawal, we will reimburse all payments received from you (including standard delivery costs) within 14 days from receipt of your withdrawal notice. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied proof that you have sent back the goods. The direct cost of returning the goods is borne by the buyer.

For Buyers outside CH/EU (USA, UK, Asia, etc.)

For buyers outside Switzerland and the EU, there is no statutory right of withdrawal. The purchase is binding.

A voluntary return is only possible after prior written agreement by email. All return shipping costs — including international postage, customs, import taxes, and insurance — are borne exclusively by the buyer. Unfranked shipments will be refused and not returned.

The buyer is responsible for compliance with import regulations in their country. The seller is not liable for shipments seized or held by customs.

Conditions for All Returns

  • The item must be returned in unchanged, undamaged original condition
  • The return must be registered in advance by email to info@timedeals.ch
  • Return shipping costs are borne by the buyer
  • Refund within 14 days after receipt and inspection via the original payment method
  • We recommend insured return shipping — the buyer is liable for loss or damage during return transit

Excluded from Right of Return

  • Items purchased in binding auction sales, to the extent no withdrawal right is provided by applicable law
  • Items returned damaged, altered, or with signs of use not present at receipt
  • Returns without prior registration may delay processing, but do not exclude mandatory statutory rights

Warranty for Vintage Items

All our items are used vintage watches (some 65+ years old). The warranty covers exclusively hidden defects that already existed at the time of shipping and were not mentioned in the item description.

The following is NOT a defect and NOT claimable:

  • Age-related traces: patina, scratches, discoloration, fading lume
  • Damage caused by the buyer: impacts, drops, water contact, improper handling
  • Properties visible in the photos and description
  • Timekeeping variations in mechanical watches
  • Water resistance claims (vintage gaskets lose function over the years)
  • Battery depletion — batteries are consumables; 'new battery' means new at shipping, not a guarantee of lifespan

Warranty period: Switzerland: warranty exclusion under OR Art. 199. EU: 1 year from delivery for used goods. The buyer bears the burden of proof that a defect existed at delivery.

Authenticity guarantee: We guarantee the authenticity of all items — without time limit. In case of proven counterfeit: full refund.
